Unlocked Graduates develops outstanding leaders to break cycles of reoffending. Our vision is that every prisoner receives the support that they need to flourish and desist from crime.

Fixing prisons is one of the biggest challenges facing society today. With around half of adult prisoners convicted within a year of release. This fractures families and communities and costs the taxpayer £18.1 billion every year. We believe prison officers are key to the solution.

Unlocked participants are currently reaching 1 in 3 public prisons in England: a third of the prisoner population. Over the last six years, we have placed over 600 prison officers in 37 establishments.

As we work to expand the UK, we have an urgent need for supporters who will make this growth possible.

Support from trusts, foundations and individual donors has enabled us to invest in our prison officers, amplify their ideas and support the prisoners in their care. Our Innovation Acceleration Programme is solely funded through external income. Through our Innovation Acceleration Programme, Unlocked officers have created over 10,000 hours of purposeful activity and impacted over 5,000 people in their care.

Trusts and Foundations

Unlocked Graduates would like to thank the Trusts and Foundations that generously support our work.

The support of Trusts and Foundations has allowed us to expand the impact of our officers beyond the frontline. Our work with ambassadors is solely funded by Trusts and Foundations – supporting them to work together to continue to drive lasting change when they have completed the Unlocked programme.
