Yorkshire Post: High-flying graduates are being trained in Leeds to reform the nation’s prisons

#In August 2020, Chris Burn of the Yorkshire Post spoke to Unlocked’s academic partners at Leeds Trinity University about the next generation of Unlocked Graduates.

Course leaders Dr Danielle McDermott and Claire Vilarrubi reflected on their years of experience working in the prison environment. They have high aspirations for Unlocked participants to succeed in transforming prisons and lives of prisoners.

“The cohort are just excellent. It is so exciting … this is where I think this programme can make a difference,” said Dr Danielle McDermott.
