Morgan joined HMPPS in 2021 as an Unlocked Graduate. Working on the Neurodiverse Unit and facilitating a Young Adult intervention programme, if her role as a Prison Officer has taught her one thing, it is that there is always hope for positive change. As a Prison Officer, you have the opportunity to help support these positive changes on a daily basis through meaningful conversations or being a professional, approachable and empathetic presence on the landings. This tangible and direct positive impact Prison Officers can have is the part of the role Morgan finds particularly rewarding.
Through her current role as a Mentoring Prison Officer, Morgan hopes to support the Unlocked graduates to navigate the complexities of the role and feel empowered to make a positive difference through their everyday interactions on the landings. Morgan is excited to be part of their career development and help work through the challenges posed, so that they can flourish into the role with care and professionalism.
