Mentoring Prison Officer

Dan joined the prison service in 2021 on the Unlocked Graduates programme which he completed in 2023. He has worked on induction, safer custody and the segregation unit. He was temporary promoted to custodial manager shortly after graduating from the programme and managed in induction and reducing reoffending.

Dan is keen on staff wellbeing and has worked as part of the TRIM team as well as taking on other key roles in the prison such as negotiator and FMI trainer. Dan wants to give back to the service that has brought him so much success and hopes to help Unlocked participants do their part in their prisons.
